Hello there, I am Angela Paccini, Licensed Marriage, Family Therapist in private practice in Roseville, CA. I have been licensed for 30 years and work with adults, teens, and children and couples. I believe in people’s inner strength and desire to grow and change. I help you find new options and ways to interact with others more effectively. I create a safe, fun, and nurturing atmosphere, while challenging you, often in playful yet direct ways! Most clients make progress in as little as one session as they become more aware and take responsibility to move to a healthier place. You will see results. Call now for a brief phone consultation at 916 772-7882. Take care and I will see you soon!

My interest in therapy comes from my own childhood and focusing on my issues as a result of growing up in a home with parents who did the best they could but where never trained themselves on how to raise kids by their untrained parents.  So, we all did the best we could! My experience has helped me to be able to help others on their road to healing and living a healthier life. We are all on our own individual path!

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California at Los Angeles and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco. I am a Licensed Marriage, Family Therapist in the State of California. In addition to my academic training, I have worked in a variety of residential treatment facilities with a variety of populations including: the chronically mentally ill, the developmentally disabled, severely emotionally  disturbed children and teens. I have worked with adults, teens, couples and children who seek therapy together or individually.

My extensive experience comes  from working in a variety of settings in the Stockton area, one in LA, and most in the Sacramento area. I started with being a counselor at Nutri-Systems, Weight Loss Center. Following that, I worked at Sub-Acute Treatment Center in Stockton as an employment training specialist. Following that, I worked at Children’s Home of Stockton as a counselor 1  and moved to a counselor 2 position at the Regional Adolescent Treatment  Program in Stockton, CA. Portal’s in LA offered me my next opportunity of working in a Psycho-Social Rehabilitation program. At Haynes Homes, I administrated and ran three Intermediate Care Facilities for the Developmentally Disabled-Habilitative. I also was contracted with Valley Mountain Regional Center as a Behavior Intervention Specialist with clients and their families doing in-home interventions. At Diogenes, I did family interventions in families homes. At Families First,  I was the clinician on my team providing high risk youth and their families with in-home intervention.

My biggest opportunity came with being the administrator of the Adolescent Unit at Charter Behavioral Health, a Psychiatric Hospital here in Roseville, CA.  Lastly, I worked at the AFTER Counseling agency until entering my full time private practice in June of 2000! All are great experience to draw from.
